The School of the Built and Natural Environment,
Glasgow Caledonian University, is the largest Built Environment
department in Scotland. Within the past three years,
funded research projects led by the School include a £137K
EPSRC grant as well as an additional linked EPSRC project
studentship; a £340K EPSRC/DETR grant to investigate
the Private Finance Initiative; a £220K EPSRC/DETR
grant in the field of ‘Value Management’; £280K
EPSRC grant for research in Moisture Prediction, £220K
on Teaching Company Schemes and £350K from the
Scottish Higher Education Funding Council (SHEFC) to
establish the Centre for Advanced Built Environment Research.
It has a very strong track record in research completion,
supervision and management.

The NHBC is the independent regulator and standard
setter for the new homes industry. Over 18,000 house
builders who construct approximately 85 per cent
of the new homes built each year in the UK are registered
with NHBC. They also provide a range of services

The APM is the premier professional body for project
