Dr Esra Kurul, Research Fellow
BArch, MA, PhD

Esra acquired her Bachelor of Architecture degree from METU, Turkey in 1993. Since then she has been conducting research on different aspects of the built environment. She has also worked as an (conservation) architect both in Turkey and the UK. She obtained a PhD in Environmental Studies from the Bartlett, UCL and an MA in Conservation Studies from the University of York. Esra’s PhD research concentrated on understanding the process of re-using listed buildings. While conducting her PhD research, Esra worked as the Course Administrator for the MSc Construction Economics and Management Programme at the Bartlett, UCL.

Esra's research interests include management of complex projects,  sustainability and conservation in the built environment. During her PhD research she has developed an interest in KM issues, hence her involvement in this research project.
