Charles Egbu, Principal Investigator
Professor Charles Egbu is currently
Professor of Construction and Project
Management at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Obtained his PhD in Construction Management
in 1994 from the University of Salford.
Previously was A Reader of Construction
and Project Management at Leeds Metropolitan
University, worked as a Senior Research
Fellow and a Lecturer at the University
College London as a Project Manager
and Senior Consultant at the Building
Research Establishment.

Dr David
Boyd,
Principal Investigator
Dr David
Boyd is Deputy Head of the School
of Property and Construction
at the University of Central England
in Birmingham. Although his background
is in science and technology, Dr Boyd
is better known for his sociological
and management perceptions of the industry.
His research in this field has sprung
from working with Construction Project
Managers on the practical problems
of the industry. His work has developed
most recently within the wider concept
of Knowledge Management.

Dr Ezekiel
Chinyio
Dr Ezekiel Chinyio started his academic
life in 1987 and has a continued interest
in research. He is currently a senior lecturer
with the University of Central England
in Birmingham, UK. Prior to this post,
he worked with Glasgow Caledonian University
as a Post doctoral research fellow, where
he played an active role in studying knowledge
transfer and risk management in ‘private
finance initiative’ projects.

Dr Hong Xiao
Dr Xiao obtained his Bachelor Degree in Engineering in 1985, and MSc in
Construction Management in 1988 from the Department of Civil Engineering of Hunan
University, China. Since then, he has been teaching Construction Economics and
Construction management in the same department. Currently, he is doing a DTI
research project “An approach to
knowledge management for SMEs” at the School of Property and Construction
in the University of Central England in Birmingham.

Cynthia Lee
Cynthia Lee is a Research Assistant
with the Department of Building and Natural
Environment. She graduated with distinction
from the MSc IT Management in Construction
course from the University of Salford.
Her research interests are in the area
of Information
Technology for
the construction industry, Process
Management and Knowledge Management.
